What is Step Exchange?

Step Exchange is a non-custodial swap and bridge aggregator. It compares routes across DEXs, bridges and liquidity aggregators, so you can swap tokens on one chain or move them to another in a single flow — straight from your wallet.

What fees do I pay?

A 0.7% service fee, plus network gas and any fees charged by the DEXs or bridges on your route. All fees are shown in the widget before you confirm.

Is it safe? Do you hold my funds?

We never hold your funds or keys. Step Exchange is non-custodial: swaps and bridges are executed by third-party routing providers and the underlying protocols, and every transaction is signed in your own wallet. Smart-contract risk exists with any DeFi protocol, so always review the details before you sign.

How long does a cross-chain swap take?

Same-chain swaps settle once your transaction is confirmed. Cross-chain transfers depend on the bridge and network conditions — usually from under a minute to several minutes. The estimated time for each route is shown before you confirm.

What if my transaction is stuck?

Bridges sometimes wait on the destination chain. Open the transaction history in the widget to see the live status, or look up your transaction hash in a block explorer or on LI.FI Scan. If a step fails, the status shows whether funds were refunded or need an action from you.
