The Plasma chain ID is 9745 (0x2611 in hex). Plasma is an EVM Layer 1 built for stablecoin payments, with zero-fee USDT transfers. Gas for other transactions is paid in XPL. Below are the exact settings MetaMask asks for, public RPC endpoints we tested on October 27, 2026, and a one-click button to add the network.
Plasma Network Details for MetaMask
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Network name | Plasma Mainnet |
| RPC URL | https://rpc.plasma.to |
| Chain ID | 9745 |
| Currency symbol | XPL |
| Block explorer | https://plasmascan.to |
Copy these values exactly. If the RPC URL returns a different chain ID than the one you enter, MetaMask stops with a chain ID mismatch warning: that usually means a typo or an RPC for another network.
Plasma RPC URLs (Tested October 27, 2026)
| RPC endpoint | Returned chain ID | Response time |
|---|---|---|
https://rpc.plasma.to | 9745 | 208 ms |
We sent eth_chainId and eth_blockNumber to each endpoint from Europe on October 27, 2026; the table lists only endpoints that answered with chain ID 9745. The latest block was 36,170,882. Public endpoints are free and rate limited: for an app or a bot, use a paid provider or your own node.
How to Add Plasma to MetaMask
- Click Add Plasma to MetaMask above, or open MetaMask and go to Networks → Add a custom network.
- Enter the network name Plasma Mainnet, RPC URL
https://rpc.plasma.toand chain ID 9745. - Set the currency symbol to XPL and the block explorer to https://plasmascan.to.
- Save and switch to the new network. Your 0x address is the same as on other EVM networks.
Tip: Zero-fee USDT transfers are a protocol feature for simple transfers. Swaps and contract calls still need a little XPL.
Plasma Testnet Testnet
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Network name | Plasma Testnet |
| RPC URL | https://testnet-rpc.plasma.to |
| Chain ID | 9746 (0x2612) |
| Currency symbol | XPL |
| Block explorer | https://testnet.plasmascan.to |
Testnet tokens come from faucets and are worth nothing. Do not send real XPL to a wallet connected to Plasma Testnet.
How to Get XPL on Plasma
The widget at the top of this page is set to swap into XPL on Plasma: pick the token you have on another network, enter your address and sign once. Routes, fees and timing are covered in our Plasma bridge guide.
