The Mantle chain ID is 5000 (0x1388 in hex). Mantle is an Ethereum Layer 2 network. Gas is paid in MNT, not ETH. Below are the exact settings MetaMask asks for, public RPC endpoints we tested on October 27, 2026, and a one-click button to add the network.
Mantle Network Details for MetaMask
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Network name | Mantle |
| RPC URL | https://rpc.mantle.xyz |
| Chain ID | 5000 |
| Currency symbol | MNT |
| Block explorer | https://mantlescan.xyz |
Copy these values exactly. If the RPC URL returns a different chain ID than the one you enter, MetaMask stops with a chain ID mismatch warning: that usually means a typo or an RPC for another network.
Mantle RPC URLs (Tested October 27, 2026)
| RPC endpoint | Returned chain ID | Response time |
|---|---|---|
https://rpc.mantle.xyz | 5000 | 315 ms |
https://mantle-rpc.publicnode.com | 5000 | 595 ms |
We sent eth_chainId and eth_blockNumber to each endpoint from Europe on October 27, 2026; the table lists only endpoints that answered with chain ID 5000. The latest block was 102,490,987. Public endpoints are free and rate limited: for an app or a bot, use a paid provider or your own node.
How to Add Mantle to MetaMask
- Click Add Mantle to MetaMask above, or open MetaMask and go to Networks → Add a custom network.
- Enter the network name Mantle, RPC URL
https://rpc.mantle.xyzand chain ID 5000. - Set the currency symbol to MNT and the block explorer to https://mantlescan.xyz.
- Save and switch to the new network. Your 0x address is the same as on other EVM networks.
Tip: Because gas on Mantle is MNT, bridge a little MNT along with your tokens or you will not be able to move them after they arrive.
Mantle Sepolia Testnet
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Network name | Mantle Sepolia |
| RPC URL | https://rpc.sepolia.mantle.xyz |
| Chain ID | 5003 (0x138b) |
| Currency symbol | MNT |
| Block explorer | https://sepolia.mantlescan.xyz |
Testnet tokens come from faucets and are worth nothing. Do not send real MNT to a wallet connected to Mantle Sepolia.
How to Get MNT on Mantle
The widget at the top of this page is set to swap into MNT on Mantle: pick the token you have on another network, enter your address and sign once. Routes, fees and timing are covered in our Mantle bridge guide.
