The Cronos chain ID is 25 (0x19 in hex). Cronos EVM is the EVM chain of the Cronos ecosystem linked to Crypto.com. Gas is paid in CRO. Below are the exact settings MetaMask asks for, public RPC endpoints we tested on October 27, 2026, and a one-click button to add the network.
Cronos Network Details for MetaMask
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Network name | Cronos |
| RPC URL | https://evm.cronos.org |
| Chain ID | 25 |
| Currency symbol | CRO |
| Block explorer | https://explorer.cronos.org |
Copy these values exactly. If the RPC URL returns a different chain ID than the one you enter, MetaMask stops with a chain ID mismatch warning: that usually means a typo or an RPC for another network.
Cronos RPC URLs (Tested October 27, 2026)
| RPC endpoint | Returned chain ID | Response time |
|---|---|---|
https://evm.cronos.org | 25 | 305 ms |
https://cronos-rpc.blockreq.com/v1/rpc/public | 25 | 250 ms |
https://cronos-evm-rpc.publicnode.com | 25 | 268 ms |
https://cronos.drpc.org | 25 | 285 ms |
We sent eth_chainId and eth_blockNumber to each endpoint from Europe on October 27, 2026; the table lists only endpoints that answered with chain ID 25. The latest block was 102,403,061. Public endpoints are free and rate limited: for an app or a bot, use a paid provider or your own node.
How to Add Cronos to MetaMask
- Click Add Cronos to MetaMask above, or open MetaMask and go to Networks → Add a custom network.
- Enter the network name Cronos, RPC URL
https://evm.cronos.organd chain ID 25. - Set the currency symbol to CRO and the block explorer to https://explorer.cronos.org.
- Save and switch to the new network. Your 0x address is the same as on other EVM networks.
Tip: When you withdraw CRO from an exchange, pick the Cronos EVM network so the funds reach your 0x address. Cronos POS is a different chain with cro1… addresses.
Cronos Testnet Testnet
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Network name | Cronos Testnet |
| RPC URL | https://cronos-testnet.drpc.org |
| Chain ID | 338 (0x152) |
| Currency symbol | TCRO |

Testnet tokens come from faucets and are worth nothing. Do not send real CRO to a wallet connected to Cronos Testnet.
How to Get CRO on Cronos
The widget at the top of this page is set to swap into CRO on Cronos: pick the token you have on another network, enter your address and sign once. Routes, fees and timing are covered in our Cronos bridge guide.
