jEUR (Jarvis Synthetic Euro) is a euro-pegged token issued by Jarvis Network, designed to track 1 euro. It is not issued by a bank or a regulated e-money company: it is a synthetic asset from Jarvis’s Synthereum protocol. After Jarvis shut down jEUR credit lines on several networks in 2024, holders who want a more widely supported euro token can swap into EURC on-chain. On October 29, 2026, $1,000 of jEUR on Base swapped into about 891 EURC in one transaction.
Key Takeaways
- Issuer: Jarvis Network (Synthereum protocol), not Circle.
- Peg target: 1 euro, so its dollar value follows EUR/USD.
- 2024: jEUR credit lines shut down on BNB Chain, Arbitrum and Optimism (JIP-5) and on Polygon (JIP-7).
- Where it trades now: mostly Base and Polygon; on other networks liquidity is thin.
- Exit route: jEUR to EURC or USDC on Base in seconds, from about $0.01 of gas.
What Is jEUR?
jEUR is one of Jarvis Network’s jFIATs, synthetic tokens that track fiat currencies. Jarvis minted jEUR against USDC through its protocol and used credit lines to supply more jEUR when pools ran short. Unlike EURC, which Circle backs with euro reserves, jEUR depends on the protocol’s own liquidity and mechanisms to stay near 1 euro.
What Happened to jEUR in 2024
| Date | Decision | What it said |
|---|---|---|
| June 18, 2024 | JIP-5 | Shut down jEUR credit lines on BNB Chain, Arbitrum and Optimism to “regain liquidity, traction, total value locked (TVL), and revenues” |
| September 22, 2024 | JIP-7 | Shut down jEUR credit lines on Polygon “in order to reduce the depeg” |
Both proposals explain the cause the same way: in the bull market, holders sold jFIATs to buy volatile assets and users borrowed jFIATs for leverage trading, which emptied the protocol’s reserves across networks, so jEUR could no longer be redeemed for USDC on those chains. Jarvis did not close the project: its DAO kept voting on new proposals, including staked jFIATs (November 2024), a February 2025 proposal aimed at driving jEUR adoption on Base, and a USD tranching vault (March 2026).

jEUR vs EURC
| jEUR | EURC | |
|---|---|---|
| Issuer | Jarvis Network (DAO) | Circle |
| Type | synthetic euro (jFIAT) | fiat-backed euro stablecoin |
| Redemption | through protocol liquidity; limited after 2024 | through Circle for eligible customers |
| Main networks today | Base, Polygon | Ethereum, Base and others |
| Price on Base, Oct 29, 2026 (LI.FI) | about $1.12 | about $1.12 |
If you want to stay in euros but move to a more widely supported token, EURC is the natural destination; if you want dollars, swap to USDC.
How to Swap jEUR to EURC
- Connect your wallet on Base (or Polygon if your jEUR is there).
- From: jEUR. To: EURC on Base (or USDC).
- Check the token contract in the widget: jEUR on Base is

- Confirm in your wallet.

Mistakes to Avoid
- Swapping jEUR on thin networks: on Ethereum and Arbitrum, jEUR liquidity is very small and quoted prices can be far from 1 euro; move or swap on Base or Polygon instead.
- Large amounts in one go: check price impact; splitting a large swap can get a better average rate.
- Fake tokens: search by contract address, not by name; anyone can create a token called jEUR.
- No gas: keep a little ETH on Base (or POL on Polygon) to pay for the swap.
A self-custodial wallet that holds Base and Polygon tokens, such as Gem Wallet, works for this swap.
